Weekly Match #57: Koresma – Back Home

Koresma - Back Home

Weekly Match is a weekly series highlighting a song, album, artist etc that doesn’t really fit in with the usual posting on the MatchMusik. This lets me sift through my music collection each week & pull something out that may be a little older, or that slipped through the cracks, and bring it back for all of you to enjoy.

Back Home is a four piece EP from the immensely talented Koresma. The opening track features a vocal sample that sums up some of my thoughts on music pretty well, all over what I can only imagine began in a mixing pot of electronic, jazz, funk and instrumental hip hop flavours. This sentiment is continued through each track displaying different consistencies of each component on each, making for a varied and exciting listen. Dreams sees Sir Bishop lending his lyricism to the works, before the EP retracts back to superb instrumental work for the closing title track.
